Information for Applicants
Hilmarton Primary School is a small school serving the village of Hilmarton, the surrounding villages and the larger areas of Calne and Lyneham. We have an intake cohort of 16 per year group.
Our original Victorian building has been much extended to include additional teaching rooms, staffroom and office. One class is housed in a mobile classroom as is our Special Educational Needs and Disability base. We are also very fortunate to have a purpose built school hall. The school benefits from a large playground and field at the rear.
Hilmarton Primary School has a strong team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants as well as a SENCo and SEN Teaching Assistants who work throughout the school. In our School Office we have 2 part time School Administration Officers as well as a School Busar. The staff is completed by Midday Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs). The school has a very strong and supportive Governing Body and an active Parents’ Association which raises significant sums of money to enhance the childrens’ learning.
